Mountain Rescue NC is on the Ground Providing Critical Assistance to Families Displaced by the Wildfires As wildfires continue to devastate communities across North and South Carolina, families are being forced to evacuate, homes and businesses are being lost, and thousands are in urgent need of relief. The fires, fueled by dry conditions and strong winds, have spread rapidly, impacting rural and urban areas alike. On March 26, 2025, North Carolina Governor Josh Stein declared a State of Emergency, mobilizing resources and first responders to combat the fires and protect those in harm’s way. However, with the widespread destruction and increasing displacement, community-based relief efforts are more crucial than ever.

Mountain Rescue NC: Responding to the Call

At Mountain Rescue NC, our team is on the ground, working around the clock to support families, individuals, and emergency responders who have been affected by these devastating wildfires. We are actively collaborating with:

🔥 Local Schools – Assisting by providing meals, clothing, hygiene items, etc… for displaced students and their families.
🔥 Churches & Shelters – Supplying food, water, hygiene kits, and clothing to those seeking safety.
🔥 First Responders – Providing critical resources such as bottled water, energy supplies, and rest stations for firefighters, law enforcement, and emergency personnel working tirelessly on the front lines.

Our Immediate Response Efforts Include:

✅ Emergency Shelter Support – Assisting by ensuring displaced families have a safe place to stay, warm blankets, and clothing.
✅ Food & Water Distribution – Delivering essential supplies to those impacted by the fires, including families who have lost everything.
✅ Medical Aid & Resources – Providing hygiene kits, first aid supplies, and essential medications for those in shelters and affected communities.
✅ Coordination with Relief Agencies – Partnering with local nonprofits, government agencies, and faith-based organizations to streamline relief efforts.
